Dr. Dan Georgescu

Dr. Dan Georgescu is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery specialized in the cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids (blepharoplasty), brows (browlift) and face (midface, lower face and neck-lift) as well as facial esthetics (Botox and fillers). He is also an expert in orbital (around the eyes) and lacrimal (tearing) surgery.

 

After completing medical school in Europe and graduate school at Yale University and UT Southwestern Medical Center, he trained as an Ophthalmologist at Moran Eye Center, University of Utah. Following a 2 year fellowship in Oculo-facial Plastic Surgery at the Center for Facial Appearances with Dr Richard Anderson, the most sought-after fellowship training in the country, Dr Georgescu became a Professor of Oculo-facial Plastic Surgery at the Johns Hopkins Medical Center, the # 1 ranked US Hospital 12 years in a row. 

 

Dr. Georgescu is the author of many scientific articles and book-chapters in the field of cosmetic and reconstructive facial plastic surgery and has trained residents and young doctors for over 8 years.

 

Dr. Georgescu also enjoys doing many outdoors activities with his wife Monica, traveling and singing in opera choir. His most recent performance in San Sebastian, Spain with the renowned Romanian tenor Theodor Ilincai in Puccini’s Tosca was a great success.
