Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are used to reduce the fine wrinkles and eliminate the pigmented spots on the skin.  They gently remove the outer (damaged) layers of the skin and stimulate the formation of new, healthy skin. Recovery varies with the type of peel between 1 day and 3 weeks. Why not remove 10 years from your face? You can look good and feel better again!

What should you know about chemical peels

Glycolic Acid Peel – the mildest of the peel formulas, is used to remove fine wrinkles, acne scars and dry skin. Over time, the Glycolic Acid Peel will lead to improved skin texture. It does not affect deeper spots, as they work mainly on the surface of the skin. The downtime is short (1 day) but at least 5 treatments are necessary at 3-4 week intervals to achieve the desired result.

Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) Peels – are commonly used for medium-depth skin treatments. They remove the more pronounced wrinkles, spots or acne scars from the skin. They have a downtime of 2-3 weeks but the result lasts a couple of years.

Procedure

Before the procedure, a special skin preparation will be started 2 weeks prior. This will be prescribed to you at the time of your initial visit and will improve the results.

After the procedure it is extremely important to follow the skin care instructions given by the physician. Your result depends on it.
